Customer-Client Relationship

Effective communication is the bedrock of every successful organisation, been it big or small.

The success of every establishment depends largely on how its employees are able to relate and communicate effectively with each other and as well as the prospective clients. The basic requirement of every employer is the ability to employ an employee that communicates effectively and efficiently at every point in time.

Effective communication entails:
1.The ability to listen and maintain eye to eye contact matters a lot, especially when communicating with a customer. Attention must not be shared with anything or anyone. Whenever customers lay complaints learn to put yourself in their shoes while you eschew criticism. With these basic steps, you have to a large extent been able to gain customers loyalty and trust.

2.Maintain a calm volume of voice when talking to them, no matter how loud or rude they may seem. Once their job is successfully completed give an assurance that such problems won't reoccur. But if along the line you were unable to fix their problem, give them the assurance that you can help make it better if they can follow up your suggested alternative.

3.Learn to understand customers from a distance: what issue of life they'll be interested in, politics, fashion, business, etc. because sometimes the job might demand a lot of time that might require you to bring in such topics for little chit chats. The importance of chipping in such conversation is to ease up tension and release pressure from the tasking job.

4. Approach with smiles; it should always be put on. When they leave, give them an impression that you'll love to see them again. This attitude should be cautiously displayed to avert any emotional attachment or insult!

5.Ask them questions about their complaints even if you already understand. Cultivate the head nodding reply pattern making them feel they're really being understood. Use verbal antiques to make them feel they aren't the first to come across such problems. Use words to lighten the weight and emphasis they lay on their problems/challenges.
